Anime fans have been asking the same question: Is AniWatch finally back?
Unfortunately, there is no verified announcement confirming the return of the original AniWatch team or its former platform.
What Happened to AniWatch?
AniWatch was previously known as Zoro.to before changing its name to AniWatch in 2023. In March 2024, the platform rebranded once again, becoming HiAnime.
However, on March 13, 2026, HiAnime displayed a goodbye message across its main domains, leaving millions of anime fans wondering what would happen next.
Despite various websites appearing online with familiar AniWatch branding, there is no verified confirmation that the original operators have returned.
Is AniWatch Officially Back?
No confirmed official comeback has been announced.
It's important to understand the difference between the original AniWatch platform and independently operated websites using its familiar name.
A website using the AniWatch name does not automatically mean it is operated by the original development team.
Introducing AniWatch.rest
Although the original AniWatch has not been officially confirmed to return, anime fans can find another option in the form of AniWatch.rest.
AniWatch.rest is an independently operated mirror within the KotoTV network. It is not an official restoration or a confirmed continuation of the original AniWatch service.
The platform aims to provide anime fans with a familiar and convenient browsing experience, with a focus on accessibility, site performance and an enjoyable user experience.

Final Thoughts
The AniWatch name still means a lot to longtime anime fans. While there is currently no verified official comeback from the original team, independently operated platforms continue to serve audiences looking for an alternative experience.
We will share further updates if reliable information about the original AniWatch team or its official return becomes available.
Stay informed and always verify website ownership before trusting claims of an official comeback.
